I called Santex Roofing and Alonso was quick to respond.  He came out to my house a few days later and provided me with an estimate.  After speaking and meeting with several other roofing companies, Santex was the winner!  Their communication and service is unmatched.  Alonso helped us to understand everything our insurance company sent us and made working together a breeze.  The Santex crew is leaps and bounds ahead of any other roofing company I've worked with in the past.  Their craftmanship and attention to detail, in my opinion, should be the new industry standard.  The skill displayed from start to finish was astounding.  Alonso and his crew of experts had our roof done in less than a day!  The quality of the products Santex uses is exceptional, which should come as no surprise given the pride they take in everything they do. We had already hired them for a previous home we used to own and when we found out our new neighborhood had been hit by a hail storm I contacted Alonso and he inspected our roof and provided the evidence we needed to have our insurance company come out and inspect our roof. Alonso made the whole process simple and easy! Hiring SANTEX roofing for our new house was a no-brainer and I would definitely use them again if needed! They are extremely responsive, transparent, prompt, and courteous.  Most importantly, their workmanship is top notch! They completed the roof and skylight replacements as well as replaced some rotted roof decking and properly reflashed areas that needed it all in the same day!  They cleaned up that same evening. Alonso (co-owner) was responsive to our initial inquiry, always on time to our arranged meetings and very professional throughout the whole process.  Communication was thorough and consistent.  The price we paid for our roof was well below two other quotes we had received from two reputable companies here in San Antonio.  The actual replacement only took one day and the crew was very professional and friendly.  They took the time to do the little things  like sending us pictures and putting tarps around the entire perimeter of our house and over our landscaping to catch nails and then do a magnet sweep after to catch any strays.  When they made a mistake they were honest about it, apologetic and fixed it within two hours that same day.  Alonso also came to do a final inspection 3 days later and to provide further details about why the mistake they made occurred (primarily a builder shortcoming).  Overall, we found it very refreshing to have a company show up for meetings on time, communicate well and follow through on what they promised . Once I selected the roofing materials I wanted, they quickly and efficiently repaired and rebuilt my roof. This is the second time my family has utilized SANTEX to repair our properties due to storm damage. SANTEX always responds in a timely manner and provides excellent roof repairs with a professional crew. Completion of the projects were on schedule and cost. The leak was in the fireplace area.  After having paid another professional to fix the problem, to no avail, Mr. Lopez was able to locate and remediate the area of the roof requiring attention.  They were also able to attend to previous concerns listed on the inspection of our newly purchased home.  Within three days, a heavy storm blew into the area; needless to say, Our home was dry. It was great working with the Lopez family and the Santex Roofing team. They gave me a timeline on when everything would happened, weather dependent. It all happened on time when they said it would. Lopez Junior “Lonso”,  stayed in touch with me up until the repair. After a recent tornado and hail storm, he contracted me to make sure there weren’t leaks prior to the repair so they could come out sooner and patch the roof. I thought that was great. I never received a call back. I called the next day- once around 9  AM, and 9:30 and the phone just rang and went to voicemail. I called around noon and left a voicemail. No call back. I called again at 5, and finally got someone on the phone, who said they viewed the roof, but she couldn't figure out the quote and would call me back in 5 minutes. No call. I called a few times Thursday, no answers, no call backs, nothing. I also checked my security cams and it's possible they did a 30 second drive by viewing, but never got out of the vehicle. Apparently they don't want my business, which is fine, but at least tell me. Horrible customer service. read less

They discovered some rotten wood around a vent and repaired it also installed some flashing (should've already been in place) to ensure we do not have any water damage. From the time Mr. Lopez stepped out of his truck I just had a good feeling about him. They did the job and for 17 years the roof did its job. In 2016 the hail storm came calling. There was not much hesitation when it came to who I would call first. I called 4 others to come and bid the job as well. Not one of those companies treated me and my home the way Mr. Lopez and his entire staff did. The pleasant person making the appointment, delivery drivers, and the men who completed the work.  Mr. Lopez was in constant contact regarding dates and status. He never promised what he could not deliver. He and his crew were probably happy to be done with my roof since I am a hands on person and pay closed attention to details. Of course when I had a question or concern, they answered knowledgably and took care of my only concern. You see, they pay attention to the details as well!! You can't go wrong if you hire SANTEX!!
